The Spanish giant’s grounds has a current capacity of 85,454 making it the third largest stadium in Europe behind the Nou Camp and Wembley.
Over five years, from 2001-2006, club president Florentino Pérez invested over €127 million improving and enlarging the stadium. Following his re-election in 2009, he has expressed a desire to redevelop the iconic football ground.
