Made up of the names of over 500 iconic people and places including Villa Park, Stamford Bridge, White Hart Lane, Maine Road, Anfield, Craven Cottage, Celtic Park and Camp Nou, Football Map is designed by UK design studio Dorothy.
The famous locations and players are re-imagined as roads, rivers, parks and landmarks. The 19th century style map is based on a park in central Cambridge named Parker’s Piece, which is thought of as the birthplace of Association Football. It was here in 1848 that a group of students drew up a set of rules that became the basis of the Football Association’s codified rules in 1863.
Dorothy are a studio that produces conceptual prints, products and artworks that are sold and exhibited internationally and were behind the Ireland V Scotland, Póg Mo Goal Euro 2016 Matchday Poster.
