Not content with ruining football with madcap ideas like hosting the 2020 Euros all across the continent, UEFA were busying themselves in Poland and Ukraine by manipulating the live television coverage. It turns out footage of a German fan crying after the defeat to Italy was pre-recorded. And that’s not all.

Anything the Beeb can do, RTE can match. Here’s Montrose’s closing sequence for Euro 2012 inspired by a music festival. Irish fans certainly had the tents, camper-vans, and alcohol in Poland but with no live bands, and our players led a merry dance by our opponents on the pitch, we had to make our own music.
