Dear Stan, All is Forgiven

“My team’s gone cold I’m wondering why
I got out of bed at all
The Dublin rain clouds up my window..
and I can’t see at all
And even if I could, my team can’t play,
Dunphy’s picture’s on my wall
It reminds me, that it is this bad,
it is this bad..”

German Reaction: Loew Lie the Fields of Athenry

If we were singing different tunes before kick-off, Irish football followers are on the same hymn-sheet now. The calls for the head of Trapattoni are reaching a crescendo. We are falling over ourselves to scream loudest: “Trap out.” And the Germans have noticed it too.

The Pipes, The Pipes Are Calling Time on Trap

Irish fans may be deflated after Friday’s lung-sapping destruction at the hands of Germany but the bagpipe anthems seem to have gone down well, particularly with our visitors. Sadly, the Lansdowne Roar was silenced by the home team’s performance and the pipes are now calling for the end of Trap’s reign.
