Chelsea have announced a sponsorship deal with The Simpsons to create a range of club-branded merchandise. Centre-back John Terry said the cartoon is still his favourite programme.
To celebrate the announcement, five Chelsea players – Petr Cech, Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard, John Terry and Fernando Torres have been ‘Simpson-ised’.
Terry told the club website: ‘It’s great to see myself and the other players as Simpsons characters. The Simpsons was and still is my favourite show, and is now my kids’ too. I can’t wait to see what Bart and Homer will look like as Chelsea players.’
It’s not the first time The Simpsons have dipped their toes in football waters. Pelé, Ronaldo, and Cristiano Ronaldo are among those who’ve appeared in the iconic series.
