We’ve seen it all now. Manchester City have released a new kit that will be worn in all their away cup matches this season, unveiled during the Champions League tie with Viktoria Plzen… Still, it’s a nice shirt.
The Nike kit is inspired by the club’s rich heritage and features a modern take on a traditional sash design, according to the club website.
The kit weighs just 150 grams, 23 percent lighter than previous Nike kits. It also boasts a 20 percent stronger knit structure and significantly improved stretch.
The slider shorts feature extra padding and thigh protection to absorb impact so players can go to ground and tackle with greater confidence.
