Robbie Keane hit a first half hattrick for LA Galaxy against the Seattle Sounders to warm up for Ireland ‘s clash with England at Wembley. The match also saw the début of Galaxy’s new signing Robbie Rogers.
LA raced into a 4 goal lead with Keane scoring twice from the penalty spot. The Irish captain will now link up with his international teammates having secured clearance from his club.
Before the game with Seattle on Sunday, Rogers said “I’m hoping that I can come on and it’s 4-0 and I can just enjoy myself,” and that’s exactly how it turned out.
His substitution in the 77th minute was greeted with a standing ovation from the crowd of 24,811.
