Olympique Marseille revealed a special edition Brazil-inspired fourth kit as Adidas continue their marketing onslaught in advance of the 2014 World Cup.
The new Adidas design highlights the paralells between Marseille and Brazil, “the passion for football, the warm climate and the enthusiasm in these two regions of the world.”
The yellow and green colours of the Seelcao are worked into the design while the customary Marseilles blue is also aimed to reflect the clear waters of the beaches of Rio de Janeiro.
The design follows Adidas’ Condivo 14 template and incorporates Adizero kit technology, which allows the shirt to be 40% lighter than the 2012 versions.
The release follows Adidas’ launch of a host of World Cup kits of the nations heading to Brazil as well as the Samba Pack boot collection.
