Adidas continue to turn out top class kits in preparation for the World Cup in Brazil next summer. Next up is Adi Dassler’s native Germany, and the Bavarian shoemaker would be proud of this effort for his country’s kit.
All of the Addias shirts at Brazil 2014 incorporate adizero technology which will make the kits 40% lighter than the Euro 2012 shirts. The Germans will wear white shorts with the jersey in a break from their traditional black shorts. The all white kit is an expression of the elegance of the German game, with the second ranked team among the favourites to emerge victorious from next summer’s Brazilian escapade.
It features the lettering Die Nationalmannschaft on the back collar of the top and silver details to make it stand out. The most striking feature of the jersey is the deep red chevrons on the chest which represent an interpretation of the Germany flag and celebrates German engineering. The three stars for the country’s World Cup triumphs in 1954, 1974 and 1990 are also present above the DFB Eagle crest.
