2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the famous Adidas Predator boot. Former Liverpool player Craig Johnston came up with the idea of using rubbber from a table tennis bat attached to a pair of boots to add power and swerve back in 1994. After many rejections the Australian convinced the German sportswear company to back his idea after showing them video footaage of Franz Beckenbauer and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge using his prototype.
The Instinct range will feature 14 different versions of the Predator boot. The launch design is a throw back to the orignal with the red, black and white colours inspired by the original. Inspired by predatory animals who use their instinct to hunt, the boots are adorned with patterns based on the patterns seen on the animals.
