Robbie Keane gave his LA Galaxy boss the perfect reply on St. Patrick’s weekend when scoring two against DC United. Galaxy coach Bruce Arena had said the Irish captain lacked confidence after some frustrating displays since returning from Aston Villa. Two goals from the Tallaghtman is good news for Galaxy and good news for Ireland.
Here’s how the Washington Post described Robbie’s Paddy’s Day hangover:
“68’ – Goal L.A.! 2-0! A bad ball by Korb leads to a counterattack that Keane finishes with authority. Well, hand it to Keane: he’s defying stereotypes. The Irish are generally not known for being active and sharp on March 18.”
