The Nike Mercurial Vapor IX launched last weekend to considerable hype. A marketing campiagn backed by Nike’s two big hitters Christiano Ronaldo and Neymar accompanied the launch which had been building for weeks through promo shots and videos of the boot, which originally launched ten years ago.
Part of the CR7 Collection, the boot is 25% lighter than its predecessor. Described as providing top-level performance inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo, it comes in two main colourways, Fireberry and sunset, with Ronaldo fronting the fireberry line for more established pros and sunset for the younger players. But expect more to come.
