YBIG Football Show: Brian Carey & Mick Wallace

More big games for Irish players in England after Stephen Quinn and David Meyler booked a place in the FA Cup final. On the YBIG Football Show this week, Dave O’Grady also spoke to former Ireland international Brian Carey, who’s currently the youth team coach at Blackburn Rovers and Wexford Youths supremo Mick Wallace T.D.

As a young player Brian Carey was signed for Manchester United by Sir Alex Ferguson. He went on to join Leicester City working under current Irish boss Martin O’Neill and was instrumental in getting them promoted in 1994. He later captained Wrexham and then became their manager. Most recently, Brian was the assistant manager at Doncaster and Wolves under Dean Saunders and currently works at Blackburn Rovers.

In LOI Goalmouth, Dave also spoke to T.D. and founder of the Wexford Youths Mick Wallace about League of Ireland football an the development of young players.
