Trap Gets Ireland up the Pole
Well, no one was expecting that. All the pre-match thought predicted a cagey Irish performance, a low-scoring game, and deemed an away goal a bonus. We can book the flights to Poland and Ukraine. A 4-0 win reflected a dominant Irish performance, particularly in the second half and the nation is waking up today with massive smile on its face. Dublin on Tuesday is going to be a hell of a party.

IT LOOKS like one of our spuds is flourishing in foreign soil – Aiden McGeady put in a very impressive shift last night for Spartak Moscow, dazzling the home fans with skills and putting in some decent balls. The much-maligned McGeady and the Russian side are now looking good for the knockout stages on this form.
